A native of France, Alain came to the United
States in December of 1967. He met his wife Eileen while working at the
United Nations. In 1970 he began working at a large bindery in New Jersey.
After spending 4 years there, and having decided with Eileen to find a
warmer city nearer the ocean, they chose Virginia Beach as their next
home. It was through this decision that Alain met Mr. Long, and the idea
of a bindery was born.
Today, when Alain is not busy at the bindery (he continues
to work Monday through Saturday!), he can usually be found in his backyard giving tractor rides to his two grandchildren, Aidan and Tristan!
Alain is a member of the Gideons International,
an organization that provides bibles free of charge to various groups.
