If a favorite book of yours is only available in paperback, it is possible to convert it to hardcover to better protect and preserve it. You can choose from any of our cover material options, meaning you can go with a basic library book look, or customize it for a more distinctive look. Pricing is based on the size of the volume and the cover material selected.

PLEASE NOTE: Unless you indicate otherwise in the comments section of the order form, the original paperback cover will be removed (NOT bound in) and returned to you.

Overlays
If you want to convert your paperback to hardcover but don't want to lose the look of the original cover, you can have the original cover trimmed down and mounted onto the hardcover binding. This is known as an "overlay". The covers best suited for overlays will be cover stock paper, preferably with a coating to make them resistant to wear from being handled. If your cover is lighter weight or you question its durability, you can request that we single-side laminate the cover prior to using it as an overlay.

If you want to retain the original paperback cover but do not want an overlay, it is possible to have the paperback cover bound into the hardcover binding. Please note however that the cover will be resistant to "laying flat" when the book is opened to be read.
